To provide safe and legally compliant telemedicine services, ChatRx requires patient identity verification before treatment. Our ID verification process ensures that only eligible users receive medical evaluations and prescriptions.

Why ID Verification is Required

To verify your identity, ChatRx accepts a multifactor authentication process that can include the following 15 forms of government-issued ID:

How the Verification Process Works

Multi-Factor Authentication & Secure Verification

1️⃣ Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Initiated – Upon account creation, patients are required to complete an MFA process, which may include SMS or email verification for added security.

2️⃣ AI & Human Review – ChatRx utilizes AI-based ID authentication, followed by a human verification review as needed to confirm identity authenticity and regulatory compliance.

3️⃣ Final Approval & Account Access – Once verification is complete, patients are granted secure access to the ChatRx platform, allowing them to proceed with their visit.

ID Verification for Dependents & Minors

✔ For minors and adult dependents, ChatRx outsources ID verification to Persona, a trusted third-party partner specializing in secure identity verification.
✔ Persona completes these verifications within their platform, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements before granting account access.

Patient Data Security

✔ Encrypted & Secure Verification – Your ID is processed using HIPAA-compliant encryption.
✔ No Data Stored Beyond Verification – ID details are used only for authentication and not stored permanently.
